In Her Own Words
I firmly believe that children can learn by themselves and
from each other. The teacher, however, is the key to the quality of
the education of children. In fact, two of the primary roles of
teaching, I believe, are to challenge children to always
learn something while in the classroom;
to stir their curiosity to want to explore and
learn many things beyond the
classroom.

Students in the performing arts harness their creativity to inspire, communicate, and connect through music, dance, drama, and theater. Yet despite their unique talents, scholarships for these disciplines remain scarce and highly competitive. Access to funding can be a major barrier for many deserving students with the potential to shape the future of the arts.
